International Scientific and Practical Conference "Tourism and Education: Ways of Their Interaction and Development"

Head of the Department of Tourism of L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University, candidate of economic science, associate professor, Duysembaev Azamat Aldashovich took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Tourism and Education: Ways of Their Interaction and Development", which was held on November 25-26, 2019 in Samarkand (Republic of Uzbekistan). The main organizers of this event were State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Tourism Development and International Tourism University “Silk Road”. The opening ceremony of the conference took place on November 25, 2019 in the conference hall of Registan Plaza Hotel in Samarkand.

 

As part of the participation in the conference A.A. Duysembaev made a presentation on the topic "Tourism development in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the context of strengthening the integration of  Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan".

During the report, it was noted that today there is fruitful cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, not only in the trade and economic sphere, but also in cultural, humanitarian and other fields, especially at the level of border regions. The tourism sector is one of the areas where interstate cooperation is actively developing. In addition, the speaker focused on the fact that, in relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, the issue of adopting uniform rules for tourists in the border areas is raised frequently.

In addition, within the framework of the Year of Tourism in Uzbekistan, a number of activities were carried out together with Kazakhstani partners. In particular, in March this year, the first Uzbek-Kazakhstan tourism forum was held in the capital of Kazakhstan.

Duysembaev A.A. drew attention to the role of ENU in training personnel for the tourism sector. The educational programs “Tourism” and “Restaurant and hotel businesses” were precisely described.

 

The second day was devoted to lecturing and conducting a master class for students of the Silk Road International Tourism University, and at the end of which the first vice-rector of this university awarded certificates to the participants.

 

During the meeting with the leadership of the Silk Road International Tourism University, an oral agreement was reached in the field of further cooperation in the implementation of academic mobility programs for all levels of the Tourism Department, two-degree education at the master's level, international apprenticeship of 3rd year undergraduate students, joint educational publications, etc.
