On November 28, 2017, students of  "Tourism" department from Tour-17 group and curator Kuralay Bazarbekovna held an open curatorial hour on the subject "Drug addiction – the disease of the century". Teachers of the department were invited to attend open lesson: Akisheva Erkesh Kasymbekovna, Mussabayeva Asemkul Kananovna, Omarova Aiganym Saparovna, Akhylbekova Bagdatgul Romanovna.



The curatorial hour began with a presentation that contained full information about drugs and their types, harm and consequences.

Comprehensively studying the topic, the students wrote the script and after the presentation part they played the scene "Pain of the Soul". Students tried to show that drug abuse is a serious public health problem that affects almost every community and family in some way, anyone can become a drug abuser. Working on this scene, the students came to the conclusion that while no one knows why one person becomes a drug abuser while another doesn’t, drug abuse does tend to run in families.  Drug abuse plays a role in many major social problems and can lead to homelessness, crime, and missed work or problems with keeping a job. 

In addition, the students prepared a video interview with students of the 1-4 courses of the Economic Faculty. According to the survey, young people spoke out  against drug  and called all people for a healthy lifestyle.

By the end of the lesson 2 groups consisting of teachers and students took part in the game "Do You Know?", the game was interesting and exciting.  The winners were awarded prizes. Having played the game, the students of  Tour-17 group sang a song "Bir uidin balasyndai" with the whole group and gave the speech to the invited teachers. The teachers stressed that open lesson was held at a high level and the goals were achieved. The students thanked the teaching staff for their participation in the open curatorial hour.
