The department "Tourism" provides educational programs "Tourism" and "Restaurant and hotel business" by highly qualified personnel with a basic education corresponding to the profile of the taught discipline, and systematically engaged in scientific and scientific-methodical activities.
The teaching staff of the department "Tourism" are the authors of a number of scientific papers in the field of organizing tourism activities and the hospitality industry in the country.
Currently, the department has 29 full-time teachers and 3 internal part-time teachers. Of these: 2 teachers have a doctorate in economics, 1 doctor of geographical sciences, 3 doctors of PhD and 9 candidates of science, as well as 15 masters of science, 11 teachers graduated from master's programs in universities in the UK, Switzerland and the USA, and 3 teachers are specialists in practices.
5 teachers work at the Department of Tourism - Holders of the title of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan "The best teacher of the university"; 1 teacher - Holder of the badge of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and 3 teachers - Holders of a departmental award of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the form of a badge "For merits in the field of tourism.
